Job Title: Program Supervisor I
Department/Unit: May be associated with Intake, Ongoing, Placement
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Operations

QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's degree in social work or a related field, • LISW or LPCC In the State of Ohio preferred • A minimum of five (5) years experience in Child Welfare with supervisory experience OR • Equivalent combination of education, training and pertinent experience
• Valid Ohio Drivers License

50% Supervision • Assigns work to supervisors and team leaders • Oversees the appropriate training of employees • Mentors and assists supervisors as needed • Monitors implementation of programs as needed • Authorizes overtime • Evaluates employee performance, develops goals for improvement, and maintains proper records • Assists supervisors in administering progressive discipline and resolving employee issues • Ensures effective communication of information to employees • Provides leadership and guidance to assigned supervisors and team members in fulfilling their responsibilities • Meets weekly with supervisees individually or as group • Monitors the work of assigned department to ensure compliance with mandates, rules, policies, and procedures • Participates in Family Team Planning meetings and Community Team Conferences when needed • Reviews, analyzes, summarizes, and disseminates case material
35% Program Development and Supervision • Participates in case assignments, peer and case reviews • Assess, plan, schedule training for assigned supervisors & teams • Writes Program policies/protocol • Assists supervisors and social workers with difficult cases and custody decisions • Assumes primary responsibility development, planning, implementation and evaluations assigned programs • Participates in court hearings, as necessary • Assists with emergency response situations • Responds to client complaints/grievances • Interviews candidates for positions and recommends hiring • Monitors compliance with policies, procedures and mandates • Utilizes Quality Improvement reports to evaluate program area and monitor productivity, staffing levels and needed improvements of assigned department

Administrative • Participates in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation of programs to meet the mission of the agency • Participates in the long-range planning for agency programs • Assists in ensuring monitoring standards are met • Gathers statistics and prepares reports, as requested
5% Miscellaneous and Special Assignments • Prepares speeches and makes presentations to community groups, as requested • Attends meetings and serves on temporary committees as requested • Maintains and increases knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars and in-service training sessions • Performs additional duties and assignments as requested Denotes an essential function of the job
